Diamond plate aluminum with with few fiberglass panels thrown in. Al tube frame. Check out the gull wings, lexan windshield and bushed Al dash. Thanks Randy and daughter Brandy Smith at Smith's Scrap Metal, Blacksburg, SC. We used anything recycled whenever possible.
MotorGeneral Electric Series Wound DC
It's a Club Car golf cart motor.
DrivetrainWe now have an EV I forklift controller which comes as a unit with all contactors and pots. It works great, but with 48 volts the top speed is only about 35. The system is fully programmable so I can take it up to 72v if I want.

My class of automotive students and I are doing this thing. They LOVE it. I can't convince some of them that putting in a built 350 would be missing the point.
