MotorAdvanced DC Series Wound DC
8"
DrivetrainI will be using clutch-less on my transmission
ControllerDC Power Systems Raptor 600
I purchased this controller used and with no throttle switch (inductive). It would be nice if someone can show me a way of converting this to resistance throttle instead.
Batteries10 Exide Orbital, 12.00 Volt, Lead-Acid, AGM
I'm leaning towards Exide orbital, but Horizon 12D2000 sounds very promising.
System Voltage120 Volts
Charger
One charger for each battery.
DC/DC Converter
I will be using a 12 volt battery that will be charge by the ICE alternator.
Top Speed55 MPH (88 KPH)
This will be designed for city-street driving and occasional parades and meets.
AccelerationIt can be the same or better than ICE.
Range20 Miles (32 Kilometers)
This would probably justify freeway miles and crossing my fingers that it would get me more city miles--I'm optimistic.
Seating Capacity2 adults
Curb Weight1,950 Pounds (886 Kilograms)
The original curb weight is under 2k and would like to keep it that way or less if possible.
Conversion TimeIt has been 3 days combined so far.
Conversion CostPurchased donor car a while back for 2k, repairs done and was driven as ICE for many years. I recently purchased the EV motor online for $1500. I will sell the ICE and other components to help pay for the additional conversion costs.
I finally received the EV motor and it wasn't what I expected. The shipment was not in a crate and it was all damaged. I am hoping to find out what the heck happened. This is my first EV conversion and so far it is not doing so good with the first shipment of parts, any help from the experienced folks will be appreciated.
