Additional FeaturesI just couldn't spring for the 6 to 7 hundred for the bike of my dreams so I took my old and ugly "Cinderella" Mountain bike and added $175 bucks worth of used and surplus parts and 3 nights of wiring. That's it.

Motor-$48 from WebPage /> Batteries- $50 from Al-Tech Elec, WebPage /> Controller- $39 from Diverse Elec, WebPage /> Misc. Parts:$20 tires, cables, from bike shop
Misc. Elec. parts:$20 Potentiometer (throttle), project box for controller, connectors, from Radio Shack

This build was fun and easy, just a little fabricating and tweaking and it goes great. I even sewed a canvas carrying bag for the removable battery pack so that I can ride to work and carry the battery pack in with me to charge under my desk.
