This is a brother bonding project.
It belongs to my brother Joe who asked if I would be interested in help him do a conversion. He is the original owner. The motor blew last winter and he didn't know what to do with it. When gas went to $4.00 a gallon, we thought we'd go for it.

The trans was dropped off at a converter parts company getting measured for the adapter plate and coupling. The gas tank and exhaust systems were removed. The warp9 motor, adapter plate, coupling, and controller were ordered form Pioneer Conversions. They said it would take 2 to 3 weeks the get the plate and coupler made.

12/19/08 picked up motor, adaptor parts, and controller.
EV Solutions, Sterling Il made adaptor plate, motor and
controller from Pioneer Conversions, Lemont IL
12-27-08 installed Trans, and axles, put new front brakes and rotors on, installed the mock-up motor and built the motor mounts. We were able to use all 4 of the stock "ice" motor mounts. Tom was able to make a plate to mount to the Warp 9 and we took part of the "ice" motor and made the motor mount. New fluid in the trans and new axle seals Joe, Tom, Joey and Grampa Tom
12-28-09 Joe & Tom, & Michael finish the motor mounts and torque specs of bolts. Clutch, pressure plate, new throw-out bearing installed 3pm -5 pm
BATTERY LOCATION: 1- remove space tire and make a battery box. 2- second battery box under the rear seats where the fuel tank was. 3- some batteries up front by the motor. THREE LOCATIONS, designing boxes now.
HEY!! The motor is mounted and it looks and feels GOOD!
