Vehicle1989 Fiat 126 Bis
Obtained vehicle specifically to be
converted to EV. The Bis was chosen
because of its small size and weight,
rear mounted engine rear wheel drive
(like the old VW Bug)
MotorLEMCO LMC 200 127 Permanent Magnet DC
Lynch LEMCO LMC will be operated at
72V
(controller programmed at 66% speed
when
pedal is fully pressed to test at
rated
speed 48V). Currently planning DIY
2x2
motor in tandem.
DrivetrainOriginal 4 speed transmission, rear
wheel drive. Retaining the clutch.
ControllerAlltrax SPM72400
New Alltrax range looks good.

Conversion TimeTwo months finding the donor car.
One year planning, finding the right/cheapest
parts.
About three months part time physical
work.
Additional FeaturesSeparate regen. controller to be
designed as a degree
project by my friend. Or an additional
Kelly controller
to be used only during braking for
regeneration. (Just an
idea for the moment).
2010 Project to be started soon. Since
now donor car has
been
obtained, prepared for VRT etc.
Currently on the
road as a normal ICE vehicle.
