| Vehicle | 1990 Porsche 944 Cabriolet I found this with a dead engine and a great body and interior. |
| Motor | Netgain 9 inch Series Wound DC |
| Drivetrain | RWD |
| Controller | Evnetics Soliton 1 up to 1000 amp continuous -water cooled |
| Batteries | 48 GBS 100 AH, 3.30 Volt, Lithium Iron Phosphate 16 KWh pack |
| System Voltage | 150 Volts |
| Charger | Elcon |
| Heater | removed - I don't drive it in the winter (just like a real porsche) |
| Instrumentation | Had MiMod but not responsive enough, will go to LED gauge like JLD 404 9/2013 |
| Top Speed | 80 MPH (128 KPH) so far |
| Acceleration | Fast at 600 amps |
| Range | 40 Miles (64 Kilometers) |
| Curb Weight | 3,200 Pounds (1,454 Kilograms) |
| Conversion Time | Over a year to work the bugs out |
| Conversion Cost | $$$ |
| Additional Features | 300 volts was too much, the peripherals only handled 150 volts so the front pack drained quicker than the back. I am very happy with fewer batteries and less weight. 9/2013 - MiMod with major glitches. It took too long for PC to boot up and the displayed gauges were not responsive enoubgh. I'm going with LED gauges instead. Burned a battery, I'm going without a BMS and have bottom balanced. |
| A labor of love (Think Steven King's book Christine) | |
