| Additional Features | Winterized battery box (2" foam insulation on all sides) and 300 Watts of battery heaters (thermostat controlled) keeps batteries in good temperature range in winter ( >20C, even when -35C outside!). Fans for cooling in summer. Added 11 Soneil 1212SR chargers and put the Bycan on a 0 to 12 hour springwound timer to avoid overcharging. Soneils keep batteries nicely balanced and include pulsing balance/maintenance mode, though their input wattage seems high for their output - have to use fans to keep them cool. DCP Raptor 600 is current limited to 225 Amps to avoid asking too much from the golf cart batteries. Wind generated electricity from Green Tags Ontario (WebPage Graphics/lettering: "Sparky The Electric Vehicle" and "Powered by the Wind", etc. Obviously an EV! License plate "SPARKYEV" (no, it isn't Russian! 8-) Power steering, power brakes. 2 Extra leafs in rear suspension. Safety - 250 Amp breaker, dual contactors, momentum switch, Anderson battery disconnect. Charger connector behind fuel door. 700 Watt inverter. |
