Vehicle	2007 Home made self balancing scooter The scooter is like the Segway. It is based on an old electric wheelchair chassis.
Motor	24v from Electric Wheelchair. Permanent Magnet DC
Drivetrain	2 x DC 24 volt motors from electric wheelchair. The wheels are driven through a worm drive reduction gearbox.
Controller	2 channel PWM IBC From RoboWars. WebPage Firmware replaced to give Locked Antiphase control.
Batteries	3 7Ah SLA, 12.00 Volt, Lead-Acid, Gel These batteries were scrounged from the Electric Wheelchair place. They are used but hold a charge.
System Voltage	36 Volts
Charger	Home made 12 volt Batteries charge in parallel an discharge in series.
Top Speed	10 MPH (16 KPH) The scotter can go at a fast walk on flat concrete or tar seal.
Acceleration	Lean forward, it goes forward it goes forward, Lean back and it goes back. :)
Seating Capacity	1 standing
Tires	Std electric wheelchair tires.
Conversion Time	3 weekends and some software development time. From start to finish about 2 months.
