Vehicle Scoot MK1
My first scratch built ev.
MotorUnite Motor MY 1020 Permanent Magnet DC
seems pretty good.
Drivetraindirect chain drive to wheel
ControllerYi Yun 48v 1000w
cheap, only gives 90% throttle, but works ok.
Batteries4 DiaMec 7.2Ah, 12.00 Volt, Lead-Acid, AGM
specs weren't real good but at $20 each I thought they were worth a try. They did the job ok.
System Voltage48 Volts
Charger unknown
48v 2.5A
Instrumentationgreen light when on
Top Speed20 MPH (32 KPH)
went exactly as calculated. 33km/h.
AccelerationPretty good. Heaps better than the electric scooter I bought.
Range7 Miles (11 Kilometers)
better than expected. I think the controller is holding the motor back a bit which helps the range.
Seating Capacity1. Ok I have had 2 on it but its kind of asking for trouble.
Curb Weight54 Pounds (24 Kilograms)
Tube frame worked out good. light and rigid.
Tiresround, black, 12.5in x 2.25 in
pretty happy with my first scratch built attempt. I don't know why people struggle with hacking up existing frames etc. way easier to start from scratch and design around your batteries etc.
