Conversion CostBike was $1000, however I sold ex250 engine for $700. About $2k for motor, controller, batteries and accessories. Just over 2k total, I mean.....so far!
The Ninja 250 is a very good bike to convert. Light weight, good brakes and shocks, plentiful parts on ebay, fairing to hide everything. Waiting for PSI Lifepo4's to come down in price (like everyone else). A 72 volt, 50 ah pack would be very nice! 1/09 Changed the Mars 709 motor to the Agni #95 reinforced. 4/8/11 Changed out the AGM's for Calb Lifepo4's...lost 70lbs and doubled range.
