Vehicle2004 eGO Helio (Ego Cycle 2)
OEM made Helio electric moped.

Designed in the USA but made in Taiwan this low-power
electric moped is classed as an electric bicycle in certain
parts of the world. However, thanks to UK and EU law it's
classed as a moped in the UK.

As a consequence any UK rider needs to insure the eGo
Helio, register and make it road-legal. You also have to
have an appropriate driver's license to ride it.
MotoreGO Series Wound DC
1.5Kw continuous rated motor, capable of 4Kw peak.
DrivetrainTwo stage, reduction belt gearing.

The moped is always in gear when turned on, meaning
regeneration whenever the throttle is closed.
ControllerSevcon SC1000
SC1000 controller, by Sevcon. I'm hoping to tweak this to
help increase the performance of the eGo.

It's rated to 250A at up to 36V.
Batteries2, 12.00 Volt, Lead-Acid, AGM
System Voltage24 Volts
After owning it for just 10 days, I found it so slow and dangerous that I sold it on.

I've now got an MZ ETZ 250 which I'm converting to electric. A proper bike!
