This is my commuter that I use around Melbourne. I have done country trips to Tarralgon and Wangaratta which are over 200km away. Conversion was done April 2011. These hybrid Li-Ion and NiMh cells are a drop in replacement for the original pack. No additional electronics is required. No modification to the battery box needed. I removed the cooling fans as neglectable heat is generated. I checked all the cells Dec 2012, after 15,000Km use and they all came up with less than 10% increase of internal resistance. Cells are balanced +/- 0.015v from 3.55v to 4.20v.
