My old electric scooter finally died after
running the 450w motor with 3+kw for years.
Spare parts were more expensive than buying a
broken scooter and using the leftovers from my
broken scoot on this one.
Motor Standard Evo powerboards motor Permanent Magnet DC
Feels very torquey
Drivetrain1000w chain drive motor
Controller Standard Evo 30A controller
I thought this would be dead, but happily it
wasn't. Since it was working I left it in. If it
dies my old scooter controller will go in which
means 3000w+ power would be possible again.
Batteries12 Headway 10AH, 38.40 Volt, Lithium Iron Phosphate
Still the same pack that was in my old scooter.
LifePO4 cells live forever!
System Voltage38 Volts
Charger LiitoKala 36V 2A LiFePO4
Can't argue with a price of under $10!
HeaterNone
DC/DC Converter None
InstrumentationBicycle computer that kept having the battery
die, so I hardwired a AA rechargeable in. I
might need to recharge it in 5 years time :)
Top Speed20 MPH (32 KPH)
Fast enough to get around, not so fast I'll hurt
myself
AccelerationFair, it pulls 1100w hot off the charger. It's
enough. Sometimes I miss the pull from my old
scoot, but now I'm getting older so it's enough
for my needs :)
Range10 Miles (16 Kilometers)
10 miles usable range. I could get a lot more
range into the battery box but it's enough for
my needs so I'll keep my money
Watt Hours/Mile20 Wh/Mile
A typical shopping/gym trip is +-4km away, I can
do 4 trips before I need to charge

Conversion Cost$100 for a broken scooter.
Additional FeaturesIt has a full suspension, so it's way more comfortable than my old
scoot.
I think scooters are the ultimate small EV. More fun and easier to
use than an ebike, simpler to maintain, cheaper to buy, and you never
end up sweaty. Oh and did I mention fun!
