Additional Features | The controller has a pot to soft start the vacuum rotor (made of cast aluminum), plus the controller has a digital readout (%), so I don't go over the rated RPM. It also has forward and reverse, of course I can only use it one way, which is actually running the motor backwards! Added a voltage/current meter. Used a shoehorn to get everything in the plastic case. Voltage to the motor should be around 27V for 3600 RPM. |
I'm back again. Now that the drought hit California 2 years ago, my beautiful lawn has died and recently have had Artificial Turff and Flagstones installed, so no more watering. My converted mower and edger are now useless! But I've been wanting to convert my yard vac for years. Now I have an excuse. Took so long because I had to machine the tapered shaft, adapt it to the motor, make a mounting plate and spacers to mimic the original ICE motor. |
